Hospitality
Hospitality security refers to the measures taken to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property in hospitality establishments such as hotels, resorts, and restaurants. This includes physical security measures like surveillance cameras and access controls, as well as procedures for handling emergencies and preventing incidents such as theft, assault, or terrorism. One of the main differences between security for the hospitality space and others is “guest management” which requires short term access control (ex: hotel room keys). The goal is to create a welcoming and safe environment for guests while also protecting the business from potential liabilities.
Access Control: Hospitality and hotels employ access control systems to manage guest room access (guest management), enhance security by restricting unauthorized entry, and streamline staff access to specific areas, ensuring a safe and controlled environment.
Video Surveillance: Video surveillance in hospitality settings is used to monitor public areas, entrances, and exits, enhancing guest safety, deterring criminal activities, and providing valuable footage for investigations or liability purposes.
Alarm Systems: Alarm systems are integral to hotel security, triggering alerts in cases of unauthorized access, emergencies, or fire incidents, ensuring a rapid response, safeguarding guests, and maintaining a secure and compliant hospitality environment.
